Play golf for a chance to win a 2023 Nissan Rogue

STRATFORD - Aug. 15, 2023 - Anyone playing in the 2023 edition of the Acadian Golf Tournament on Sunday, Sept. 10th, will have the chance to win a beautiful 2023 Nissan Rogue sponsored by Centennial Nissan, if they hit a hole-in-one on a particular hole. But participants have to register for the tournament no later than Sept. 1 to be eligible to win.

Kelly Dowling, Centennial Auto Group's marketing and events manager, says she and a colleague will be at the Fox Meadow Golf Course in Stratford with the SUV on tournament day to hand out snacks to participants and to check if anyone makes the hole-in-one. She encourages all amateur and professional golfers to register for this friendly tournament in support of the cause.

This 17th edition of the tournament is a fundraiser that will support the sports and personal development programming of the PEI Regional Committee of Les Jeux de l'Acadie, including the participation of over 100 young Islanders in the 2024 Finals of the Jeux de l’Acadie in the Greater Bouctouche region of New Brunswick. A variety of competitive and randomly drawn prizes will be offered.

The tournament starts at 9 a.m., but golfers must be on site by 8:30 a.m. to sign in. The registration fee (including round of golf, cart, balls, snacks, beverages and lunch) will still be $100 per person, so $400 per foursome. Golfers just need to bring their own clubs.

To register for the tournament or to offer a $100 hole sponsorship, contact coordinator Jeannette Gallant by phone at 902-439-2791 or by e-mail at jeannettegallant@gov.pe.ca no later than Sept. 1. Whenever possible, golfers are asked to pay in advance; organizers strongly encourage payment by etransfer.
