Laurie LeBlanc and Marcella Richard in concert during the Grand Ruisseau Song Festival!

The second show taking place during the Grand Ruisseau Song Festival, organized by the Coopérative de développement culturel et patrimonial de Mont-Carmel (CDCPMC), is taking place on Sunday, September 17 at 7 pm at the Mont-Carmel Parish Hall.

The show will feature Country singer/songwriter Laurie LeBlanc from New Brunswick as well as Island singer/songwriter Marcella Richard accompanied by Patricia Richard, Roland Beaulieu and Rémi Arsenault.

Laurie LeBlanc is one of Eastern Canada’s Country rising stars and his distinctive style contains an East Coast Acadian flavour.  Bilingual singer/songwriter, Laurie has performed here and there from one ocean to the other.  Over the years, his music has earned him numerous awards and distinctions.  This Acadian Country singer has been making a living from his passion since 2016.  Hailing from the southeastern part of New Brunswick, Laurie has 8 albums to his name.

Marcella Richard grew up amongst a musical family and was surrounded by fiddles, harmonicas, mandolins, guitars and songs.  She currently has four recordings to her name and her most recent recording “Marcella Richard Sings Roy MacCaull” was released in 2018. Her songs have been played on radio stations across Canada, in Louisiana and in France, and have reached the number one spot on charts in the Maritimes. Her voice has been described as one that goes straight to the soul and can make you laugh, dance and even cry.  Marcella will be accompanied by her sister Patricia Richard, Roland Beaulieu as well as Rémi Arsenault.

The show will start at 7:00 p.m. and the doors of the Mont-Carmel Parish Hall (5786 Route 11, Mont-Carmel) open at 6:15 p.m. During the evening, spectators will be able to buy 50/50 tickets and the canteen will be open. Admission is $15 for adults, $12 for members of our Cooperative, $5 for students and free for preschoolers. Given that seating is limited, folks are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance at cdcpmc.eventbrite.com.  If any tickets are left, they may be purchased at the door on the night of the show.  Tickets for the other shows taking place during the Grand Ruisseau Song Festival can be purchased on site during this show.

The mandate of the Coopérative de développement culturel et patrimonial de Mont-Carmel is to showcase, develop and promote the rich cultural heritage of Mont-Carmel.
