Caroline Bernard, Rémi Arsenault & Family along with Julie & Danny in concert!

The third show taking place during the Grand Ruisseau Song Festival, organized by the Coopérative de développement culturel et patrimonial de Mont-Carmel (CDCPMC), is taking place on Sunday, September 24 at 7 pm at the Mont-Carmel Parish Hall.

The show will feature the family group composed of Caroline Bernard, Rémi Arsenault, Riel Arsenault and Benoît Arsenault from the Évangéline region as well as Julie & Danny with their band.

Caroline Bernard and Rémi Arsenault, two musicians/songwriters/composers/multi-instrumentalists, are well-known in PEI. Together, they share their love of music with their three sons Riel, Benoît and Maxime.   Riel and Benoît, two young multi-instrumentalists, are 12 and 10 years old and have been performing on stage with their parents pretty much since the time they were able to walk.  Sometimes, Maxime, who is 4 years old, accompanies them as well. The members of this family from the Évangéline region demonstrate their passion and energy for music of all genres.

Julie & Danny have been playing music together for over 15 years and have performed alongside each other in a few different groups.  Julie has toured the Bluegrass circuit as the singer in the group Two + Three.  Danny has been playing guitar since the age of 13 and he has performed with many Island-based groups.  With numerous Music PEI nominations under his belt, he is a staple in the Music PEI scene.  In early 2020, they decided to join forces as a duo.  Their first single made the top 100 in the CBC Searchlight contest in 2021 and their first album entitled Dreams received 4 Music PEI nominations.

The show will start at 7:00 p.m. and the doors of the Mont-Carmel Parish Hall (5786 Route 11, Mont-Carmel) open at 6:15 p.m. During the evening, spectators will be able to buy 50/50 tickets and the canteen will be open. Admission is $15 for adults, $12 for members of our Cooperative, $5 for students and free for preschoolers. Given that seating is limited, folks are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance at cdcpmc.eventbrite.com.  If any tickets are left, they may be purchased at the door on the night of the show.  Tickets for the closing show of the Grand Ruisseau Song Festival can be purchased on site during this show.

The mandate of the Coopérative de développement culturel et patrimonial de Mont-Carmel is to showcase, develop and promote the rich cultural heritage of Mont-Carmel.
